The Pula Amphitheater, also Pula Arena, is a Roman amphitheater. It is the sixth largest surviving Roman amphitheater in the world and is considered one of the best preserved. It was built in the 1st century AD and at that time had a capacity of around 23,000 people. It was used for gladiator fights and other public spectacles such as animal hunts and mock battles.
The amphitheater is made of limestone and has three floors, with arched entrances and a system of underground corridors and rooms. It has been well preserved over the centuries and is now a popular tourist destination and a venue for concerts and other events.
