FAQ: Visiting the Pula Amphitheater

How is the acoustics in the Arena?

Thanks to the elliptical shape of the ancient Roman walls, the amphitheater offers unique natural acoustics. This is particularly impressive for rock concerts and opera performances.

Is there assigned seating?

This depends on the specific event organizer. Usually, the venue is divided into the “Parterre” (floor standing area, or seated for operas and classical events) and the historic stone steps (free seating on the tiers). Please check the specific info during your ticket purchase.

Where is the best place to park for a concert in Pula?

Several public parking lots (e.g., Mandrac) are located around the Arena, but they fill up very quickly during events. We recommend parking a bit further away and enjoying a short walk to the Arena.

Visiting the Amphitheater

Beyond concerts, the Amphitheater hosts various events such as the annual Pula Film Festival, popular gladiator reenactments (Spectacvla Antiqva), MMA events, and more.

You can visit the Amphitheater and its underground museum throughout the year. For all the details on tours and visiting hours, click here.
